Managing Director

Giorgos graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Aristotle University Thessaloniki and received his PhD in 2007. Giorgos specialises on road transport exhaust and evaporation emissions. He has co-ordinated and managed numerous projects of Emisia and specialises in the modelling and inventorying of emissions from road transport. He is contributing to the work of the European Topic Centre on Air Pollution and Climate Change Mitigation of the European Environment Agency and has reviewed and evaluated several methodologies and tools for estimating transport emissions for UNECE and Eurostat. He has also worked on fuel quality issues, on emission testing at periodic inspections and on OBD systems.

Chariton Kouridis
Chariton Kouridis - Emisia

Charis graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Aristotle University Thessaloniki and completed an MSc in Production Management in 2000. Charis specialises on modelling of road transport emissions.

Elias Blatsis
Elias Blatsis - Emisia Personnel

Elias graduated from the Department of Informatics, University of Piraeus. He specialises in software engineering, computer programming (desktop and web-based) and database design and administration. He is also involved in GIS and mobile applications development.

Evi Gouliarou

Evi graduated from the Physics Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds an MSc in Energy and Fuels for the future from the Autonomous University of Madrid. Evi specializes in renewable energy systems and environmental impacts associated with fossil and renewable energy sources.

Matina Kastori
Matina Kastori - Emisia Personnel

Matina graduated from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Aristotle University Thessaloniki and completed an MSc in Information Systems in 2010. Matina specialises in GHG emissions and related policies for climate change mitigation.

Petros Katsis
Petros Katsis - Emisia Personnel

Petros graduated from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Aristotle University Thessaloniki and received his PhD in 2011. He is continuously involved in the backstopping of various EU-funded projects related to transport emission modelling and environmental policy assessment. Petros specializes in data processing and validation techniques, environmental algorithm design, vehicle powertrain simulations, as well as software development for tools related to transport emissions. Petros also has experience with various mathematical and engineering software packages.

Christos Keramydas

Christos graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2008). He holds a MSc in Statistics and Modeling (Department of Mathematics, 2012), and he is also an MSc candidate (dissertation stage) in the Quality Management and Technology MSc program, Hellenic Open University. He received his PhD from the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2013. He specializes in data processing, analysis and modeling as well as in statistics, operational research and simulation applications in the fields of transport emissions and supply chain management. He has participated in several national, EU and international projects. Christos has experience with various statistical, mathematical programming, and simulation software packages.

Valentini Markaki

Valentini graduated from the Department of Chemistry, University of Ioannina, completed her MSc at King's College London in 2005 and was awarded her PhD from the Mechanical Engineering Department, Imperial College London in 2009. She developed and optimized chemical kinetic mechanisms of diesel and aviation fuels for emission reduction under a scholarship from the US AFOSR and EOARD. Valentini specialises in the environmental assessment of different transport policy options.

Grigoris holds an MSc from the Department of Applied Informatics, University of Macedonia (2014). He is a software engineer with experience in data-oriented applications.

Giannis Papadimitriou
Giannis Papadimitriou - Emisia Personnel

Giannis graduated from the Electronic and Computer Engineering Department, Technical University of Crete (1999) and received his Ph.D. from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2006). He has been involved in many European research projects and specializes in environmental and energy studies, emission modeling and emission reduction techniques, collection/analysis/processing of statistical data in transport domain.
